An enthralling video presented by Joan Hammond, which tells the story of her hard childhood and her search for her roots, culminating in her discovery that she is descended from the only survivor of a Gippsland massacre in 1846. A hard-hitting but lyrical piece, accompanied by haunting "outback" music by Andy Slatter.
Shop Stories!
3 short comedy playlets by Maree Collie form a connected sequence throughout the show.
A harassed shopkeeper is bewildered by two old ladies who may or may not be the same person, a would-be robber, and a talking parrot.
The Ghost of Fellside Manor
Jonathan Price presents an exciting video about the time when he spent a night all alone in a haunted house. Don't worry, it's not too scary - the ghost of Fellside was supposed to walk around offering people cups of tea!

Shetland!
Maureen Inkster presents a fascinating video about how she became the first female to ever take part in the famous Shetland Viking Festival - at the age of nine!
With authentic Shetland fiddle and accordion music, and an opportunity for everybody to join in the "Viking Song".

When / where is the event?
Seniors Showtime 2026 is on Wednesday, 7th October, 2.00 pm - 3.30 pm, at Melbourne Multicultural Hub, 506 Elizabeth Street, Melbourne. Blue Room 1st Floor
How can I get there?
Trams 19, 57, or 59 from Flinders Street Station (Elizabeth Street tram terminus) stop right outside the venue. Get off at stop 7 Victoria Market. This stop is inside the free tram zone. The Multicultural Hub can be seen right opposite the tram stop just across the road.
Don't forget that train travel into Melbourne is FREE FOR ALL SENIORS in the week of the event!
Is there car parking nearby?
Yes - there is open-air or undercover parking for Victoria market accessible via Queen Street. Fees for both are $8 for first 2 hours, $4 for every hour thereafter
Do I need to get tickets?
No - just turn up to get a seat. Seating will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis and there are only 100 seats available in the hall so don't leave it too late.
Can I find somewhere for lunch or refreshments near the venue?
Yes - there are some nice cafes right across the street from the Melbourne Multicultural Hub.
Is there wheelchair accessibility?
Yes, there is a lift from ground floor to first floor and space can be provided for wheelchairs in the performance hall
